Network9’s success on the KDDI America site led the international group to retain us to redesign the KDDI Global site as well. We gave the global site a similar look and feel to the American site to maintain the brand identity, and the synergy is helping to build brand recognition in the US for this relatively unknown telecommunications giant. The clean, contemporary design makes them look like the Fortune 200 company they are. Network9 went beyond the aesthetics by contributing the brand statement “Technology without borders”, technical copywriting, programming, a keyword analysis and ensuring SEO compliance.
The Problem It Solved
Our expertise in brand design helped KDDI Global solve the challenge of standing on its own while portraying itself as a sister to KDDI America. As a result, the site helps strengthen the parent brand—a major goal of our client. Like the American site, we created the Global site in Drupal to provide design flexibility as well as content management capabilities. We helped our client simplify its complex service offerings, too, by providing technical copywriting that explains their complex services in a simple way.
The site is the ideal complement to the KDDI America site. Prospects often toggle between the two sites and the consistency strengthens the brand image while adding to the case for KDDI. The redesign is a big factor in KDDI’s continuing global expansion—and our client is already talking about having us do the Spanish and Japanese versions.
